Description
This course is an introduction to computer analysis of macromolecular structure information. This course describes how to access, process and interpret structural information regarding biological macromolecules as a guide to experiments in Biology. Prerequisite: BIO 220. knowledge of the major families of vascular plants and on the collection and identification of local vascular plants. Of particular importance is gaining an understanding of the philosophical bases in taxonomy and the relevance of this field to other areas of biology. Prerequisite: BIO 212. to issues in the conservation biology will be examined within a context that integrates biology, land management, protection and development. The purpose of this graduate program is to provide students with in-depth knowledge in advanced topics in Biology. Students are trained to be independent thinkers who are able to identify specific research problems in biology and investigate them. The thesis option provides the necessary background to pursue further research in biology and is most applicable for students planning to enroll in a Ph.D. program. Mission The MS Biology Program at NDU is designed to offer graduates a profound understanding of advanced biological topics. Through a combination of coursework, practical lab experiences and thesis research, this program aims to cultivate independent thinkers, empowering them to identify and explore specific research challenges within biology. Furthermore, students are equipped to pursue advanced studies or professional careers in the field.
