Description
This introductory astrophysics course is designed for students majoring in physics. Topics include: introduction to the night sky, coordinate systems, properties of atoms and light, magnitudes, and telescope types, Kepler’s laws and dynamics, stellar astrophysics, planetary systems, galaxies, and cosmology. Prerequisite: PHS 213.
