Description
The course introduces pricing and reserving for short-term insurance and reinsurance coverages, loss reserving, techniques for estimating outstanding claims, and ratemaking techniques. The course includes the key concepts underlying general insurance practice as to the professionalism requirements, good practices measures, and the responsibilities of actuaries. Prerequisites: MAT 325 or MAT 326.
