This course provides an overview of the field of public health: the nature and scope of public health, public health principles, analytical methods of public health, determinants of public health (biological, social, and environmental determinants), the relationship of the public health system with the overall health care system, public health agencies/institutions, public health workforce, core functions and public health practice, and public health interventions. The course will host guest speakers and public health practitioners from Lebanon.
