Description
This course emphasizes current research in food safety and quality management. Prerequisites: Senior Standing and consent of instructor. HEALTH COMMUNICATION THE DEGREE OF BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN HEALTH COMMUNICATION* Degree Requirements (92 credits) Mission The mission of the program is to prepare health communication professionals capable of developing and evaluating effective communication strategies and practices to enable individuals, communities, and the population to achieve better health. Program Educational Objectives (POb) The program will: • Provide students with theoretical knowledge, practical applications, and research skills, to help them develop effective communication strategies that positively influence individual health decisions leading to improved health outcomes and public health; • Equip students with sufficient quantitative and analytical skills, knowledge of medical terminology, and epidemiological concepts to process and synthesize health-related information accurately and effectively; • Provide students with the fundamentals of health campaign planning, implementation, and evaluation; and • Uphold students’ attentiveness to integrate ethical principles and socially appropriate health communication practices and schemes in future professional practice.
