Description
This course deals with Quantum Chemistry and Spectroscopy. Topics covered are Quantum theory, postulates, Schrodinger equation, harmonic oscillator model, hydrogen atom, hydrogenic wave function, Pauli principle, rotational motion, atomic structure, molecular electronic structure, Huckel approximation, hybridization, symmetry, rotational and vibration spectroscopy, electronic spectroscopy of molecules. Prerequisite: CHM 321.
