Topics include: entropy and probability, energy and temperature, the three laws of thermodynamics, MaxwellBoltzmann, Bose-Einstein and Fermi-Dirac statistics, equation of state for simple systems, and elementary theory of phase transitions. Prerequisite: Senior Standing.
