Algebra I

The course covers the following topics: free Abelian groups, finitely generated Abelian groups, the action of a group on a set, the Sylow theorems, nilpotent and solvable groups, as well as: Rings and localization, and polynomial rings and factorization. Prerequisite: Graduate Standing.
