Special Topics in Mathematics

Description
Students will study selected contemporary topics in Mathematics. Prerequisite: Specified when Offered. MAT of this course is the study of curves and surfaces in three-dimensional Euclidean space: Tangent space, vector fields, Gauss map, geodesics, curvature, minimal surfaces, the Gauss-Bonnet Theorem, and an introduction to smooth manifolds. Prerequisite: MAT 224.
