This course highlights the role and importance of GIS and geographic data in the analysis, interpretation, and visualization of large and complex datasets. This course covers various topics such as essential GIS and spatial data concepts, GIS – Big Data integration, spatial data visualization, advanced spatial analysis, and geostatistics. Students will retrieve, prepare and analyze real-life data to solve real-world problems using GIS software.
