CSC 609Information Presentation and Visualization

This course covers the concept of data visualization for practical and efficient information sharing, and the integration of visualization in the work of data science. Specifically, it exposes architecture, memory and I/O subsystems, networking. Case Study: RISC architecture. the students to the principles, methods, and techniques of data visualization and it will enable them to create effective visual representations suitable for data exploration and information discovery. Students will work on real problems and data sets to design and implement effective visualizations, using modern tools and frameworks. Additionally they will perform research on the latest developments and techniques in this field. to distributed databases design (bottom up, and top down), in addition to the internal operation of a relational database (query optimization, concurrency, and recovery) in both centralized and distributed environments. It also covers rising topics in the field of databases (web, cloud, noSQL, NewSQL).
