Security and Conflict Resolution

Reviews changing patterns of war and security since the early 20th century. Introduces students to a wide variety of literature and cases. A special focus is on methods, techniques and the management of conflicts. Different approaches are analyzed, namely management of conflicts bilaterally between states, multilaterally through international or regional organizations, and through the roles of the good offices of diplomats or personalities of international stature.
