This course introduces the student to the relationship between religion and politics and the impact of religion on the major dimensions of politics in today’s world. Religion as defined in the course refers to the social, ideological, and economic beliefs associated with various religious communities. This course will focus on the different religious views upon life in society, including economic and political issues and how these different and sometimes opposing views can lead to political strife.
