The Maronites: Faith and Cultural Heritage

This course explores the Maronite cultural heritage. It addresses Maronite theology and spirituality in the context of secular, social, and ecclesiastical history, from ancient through contemporary times. A particular emphasis is placed on the question of Maronite identity, while highlighting contributions of the Maronite faith and cultural heritage to the development of the region. Prerequisite: ENL 213.
