Mythology and Storytelling

Description
This course closely examines the role, if not the duty, of the storyteller with particular attention paid to the notion of the muse or supernatural visitor that aids in the artistic adventure. The course will provide examples from poetry, theater, film, dance, and art, with a study of the influence of mythology on the performing arts and the arts in general.
