Ethics and Politics in Education

Description
This course addresses the tensions that exist in education between the realms of politics and ethics. It examines concepts of power and communication especially as they relate to pressure groups and advisory bodies. The course seeks to overcome this tension by helping students to understand how it is possible to be both ethically and politically astute at the same time. Corequisite: EDU 610.
