Heavy and Fine Chemicals Processing

Overview of heavy and fine chemicals, description of manufacturing process and uses of some important heavy and fine chemicals in industry such as: inorganic carbonates, industrial gases: nitrogen, oxygen, ammonia, acetylene; sodium compounds, mineral acids, phosphorus-based agrochemicals, nitrogen and potassium based fertilizers. Process safety and environmental constraints will be also discussed. Prerequisites: CHM 323, CHE 430.
