Description
Optimum design of mechanical elements and systems. Formulation and solution of mechanical design problems by use of mathematical programming methods. Prerequisite: MEN 611. MEN Microelectromechanical Systems (3.0); 3 cr. Introduction to Microelectromechanical (MEMS) systems. Basic concepts of smart materials. Microsystem design and analysis. Simulation and manufacturing. Typical applications: microsensors, microfluids, etc. Prerequisite: MEN 615.
