Description
Fundamental concepts and building blocks of Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) design. Overview of WSN wireless technologies, components, challenges and applications. Comparison between WSN, ad-hoc networks and IoT. WSN basic architecture, communication models and protocols. QoS and network management techniques, topology control, power management, synchronization, localization and data handling in WSN. Case studies of deployed WSN. Prerequisites: EEN 331, EEN 342. Switching power supplies. AC power controllers. Controlled rectifiers. DC choppers and DC-AC converters. Bridge structure inverters. Prerequisites: EEN 310, EEN 350.
