Description
MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences/ conventions, and events/exhibition) Management: this course presents a sense of the size and scope of the MICE industry. Upon completion, students will acquire specialized managerial skills required to package, plan, execute, and evaluate these product segments. The management of such corporate events incorporates the determination of the purpose, the message, the budget, the selection of a convention site, the prospection for attendees, the setting of dates and timeline, the management of exhibit spaces, the lodging services, the procurement of food and beverage, the telecommunications and audiovisual requirements, the transportation, the labor and equipment and the assessments of the MICE/convention’s success, and all other related issues. Prerequisite: Senior standing.
