Applied Music Instrumental or Vocal I

This course is an introduction to techniques and gestures such as posture and fingering on the piano or other instruments. Concentration 24 cr. Free Electives 6 cr. EDU 313, EDU 355, MUE 335, MUE 446, MUE 476, STA 201, MUE 479, MUE 474. of music history in various cultures and ages aiming at introducing students to knowing and appreciating the art of music in its different forms and instruments. The course relies heavily on listening to music with visual aids, relaying the sound to the instrument. with an analysis of scores and choir singing. Prerequisite: MUS 215.
