Basic Environmental Concepts Related to Urban Design and Planning

The course highlights human dependence on environmental resources and ecosystem services, impacts of anthropogenic factors on living resources, and the interactions and links between the natural and built environments. It introduces students to implementation procedures of Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) and the application of participatory planning.
