Lighting in Interior Design

Description
This course takes a practical approach to lighting, and the student will learn about the different types of lighting such as ambient, task, and decorative. The student will also learn the fundamentals of lighting design in relation to residential and contract interiors. The subjects tackled in this course will give the student enough knowledge to incorporate lighting in the total interior design scheme. Topics covered: natural, artificial lighting, quality of light. Technicalities: switches and wiring. Finally, electrical plans and specifications are also included. Corequisite: IDP 322.
