* EEN 330 taken at the Departments of Electrical and Computer and Communication Engineering is equivalent to PHS 417. Students from these majors may ask to replace PHS 417 with EEN 330. This course covering waves and corpuscles, sound, acoustics, reflection and refraction of light; interference and diffraction; polarization, spectrometry, and laser optics. Prerequisite: Sophomore Standing.
