Description
This is a one-month elective APPE that provides Pharm.D. students with the opportunity to learn about the essential topics within Informatics such as pharmacy information systems, automated dispensing cabinets, automated inventory, systems, automated repackaging, robotic chemotherapy compounding, data analysis tools, databases, servers, and interfaces. This rotation will develop students' understanding of how automation and technology are integrated into pharmacy workflow. Students will be involved in identifying opportunities for improvement, as well as working toward resolutions using observation, analytic skills, and project management skills.
