CSC 468Startup Studio: Applied Entrepreneurship in Computing

This course provides students with a structured, hands-on experience in developing technology-driven ventures from concept to early-stage prototype. Students work in multidisciplinary teams to identify real-world problems, conduct customer discovery, and design viable digital solutions. Emphasis is placed on lean startup methodologies, rapid iteration, and the development of minimum viable products (MVPs). Students explore key entrepreneurial competencies including value proposition design, market validation, business models, and ethical considerations in innovation. By the end of the course, teams deliver a functional prototype and a venture pitch supported by user feedback and evidence- based planning. Prerequisite: junior standing.
