This course covers the history and background, function, planning process, types, analysis and design of culverts and bridge openings, dam appurtenances, intakes, aprons, chute blocks, spillways and drop structures. It also covers dam safety, stability and protection against scour. Prerequisites: CIE322 Hydraulics and CIE306 Concrete Structures I.
