Programming for Digital Art

This course is split into two parts: HTML/CSS and Python. The HTML/CSS part is easier, so make sure you get the best grade possible on the first Quiz. The python part is a bit trickier and takes a lot more practice in general. I entered this class with 0 knowledge of HTML, CSS, or Python and ended up with a B+ (though I could've gotten an A if I had put more effort in honestly). I think the trick to doing well is to attend every single lecture and lab, take detailed notes, and practice, practice, practice. Start with the practice questions in the slides, re-do your lab tasks, ask for extra practice questions, do the non-mandatory practice questions in the labs. Start on your project early on (website development with HTML/CSS) and make sure to use all of the HTML / CSS elements you've learned. Loa is a really nice and accomodating professor, she explains everything thoroughly. You can ask her as many questions as you want and she gave us participation bonus points which helped a lot. She even helped us out by lowering the percentage of the Quiz everyone did badly on and highering the percentage of the one we did generally better on.

Professor is really kind. The course needs some practice to get high grades.

The html/css part is really easy, python might seem difficult at first but once you grasp it its actually really easy.

Loa Is the best teacher the department has for a course of this level.
