History and Systems of Psychology

My advice to you take it in summer apparently those who took it then found it somewhat easier. It is a very demanding course and needs a lot of your time other than that its interesting.

I found it easier to understand because I had a concrete knowledge base about the theories from other courses, so I was able to make the link with history

The course itself is very interesting and Arne is an amazing professor. You'll never get bored in his class, but his exams are very detailed and tough. The material is a lot and the course requires a lot of memorization and knowing the history and philosophy behind it all very well, so make sure you study for it daily and keep up with the material. Personally, i found writing down my own notes very helpful.

 it's heavy workload because you have to be detail-oriented and always take notes during classes but arne is an amazing teacher really interesting and smart. For exams, there is no extra credit what so ever you can't negotiate with your grades or anything what you see is what you get. Usually it s a combo of MCQ open-ended (short) and matching but it depends you might not get one of the last 2 in a given exam. You have 4 exams total 50 minutes each and arne is really strict about attendance so get there on time and pay attention in class stay on track and you'll be fine 

If you're a psychology major you have to take it sooner or later but don't take it before halfway through your junior year

The course needs a lot of studying and only gets interesting towards the end
