MATH 211 isn't that hard, and it's better not to postpone it since courses only get harder later; pairing it with MATH 201, a major course, and two electives is considered a good semester load.
MATH 211 (Discrete Mathematics) is fast-paced and more conceptually complex than MATH 201, requiring daily study, a programming background for some chapters, and consistent attendance at recitations and office hours — it is not considered an easy course.
MATH 211 is definitely harder than CMPS 211 and is not recommended unless you are interested in a math minor.
MATH 211 puts more emphasis on proofs and covers more material, including number theory and counting; it is worth taking if you are interested in that content or plan a math minor.
The best professor ever to take Math211 with. Very good explanation, very good personality, very easy exams, and very high grades.
He's very nice and very experienced but sometimes he didn't explain the material but instead gave the students slides to learn the material from. The course therefore was a lot of self work but still a great and interesting course to take.
Really interesting course!! Teacher is good yet you have to stay tuned and following everything to get high grades

Honestly he’s bad at teaching and gets confused more often than not. Yes he’s nice as ppl mentioned but tbh that’s not a sufficient reason to take with him. It’s also hard to get a good grade with him.
