Rima iskandarani. Very kind, lenient sometimes, and makes you enjoy working and preparing for her assignments
Jessy because she's a lenient grader with fun and interactive classes. She's very approachable too so you should consider her if her section time is adequate
high workload, She gave us a 20 page “reflective” portfolio to do on what we learned in this course as a final assignment while others only had a 2-3 page essay. The majority of grades were lower than 80
AUB English course placement is based only on the AUB English essay/writing test, not the SAT score — you need 4/4/4 on the essay to be placed into ENGL 203.
ENGL 203 generally has a heavier workload than ENGL 204, though it depends on how the professor distributes assignments.
Taking the Writing Placement Test (WPT) after the EEE exam is another path that can get a student placed into ENGL 203.
A student who didn't meet the EEE score needed for direct ENGL 203 placement could sit for an IELTS or TOEFL exam as an alternative path.
The AUB Writing Test, similar to the SAT essay, is another registration option similar to the EEE for placement into ENGL 203; if already attempted, students should email admissions to check about additional trials.
A student can retake the EEE exam for ENGL 203 placement, but there must be a 2-month gap since the last attempt.
Buying the 'Pages Apart' textbook for ENGL 203 is unnecessary: an online version exists and professors generally post the assigned pages themselves.
Souha Riman is the most enthusiastically recommended professor for ENGL 203, named repeatedly by students asked who to take.
Sarah Elcheikhali's ENGL 203 classes are smooth and fun; she explains everything thoroughly, the workload isn't heavy, and her grading is generous — one student got an A+.
Ryan Johnson is considered the best instructor at AUB for ENGL 203; students enjoy his topics and discussions, and while the workload is heavy, the grading is fair and effort is rewarded.

Ryan Johnson is considered the best AUB instructor for ENGL 203; his classes are engaging and fun, and while there is workload, the grading is fair and students who put in effort get the grade they earn.
Rima Iskandarani's ENGL 203 classes are really enjoyable and the workload is fair, though it may feel higher compared to other instructors.
Rabab Kodieh is very kind and understanding in ENGL 203 and is flexible with deadlines; students who took her loved the class.
Marwa Mehio is highly recommended for ENGL 203, described by students as one of the best professors and amazing.
Lana Zantout is highly recommended for ENGL 203; there is workload involved but high grades are attainable, and she is very sweet and considerate.
Ghada Awada is nice and flexible as an instructor for ENGL 203, but the course has a heavy workload; students report getting good grades in the end.
Ghada Awada is very nice and flexible in ENGL 203 and gives good grades, but the workload in her section is high.
Ghada Awada's ENGL 203 has a fairly heavy workload centered on papers and multimedia projects rather than exams, but she grades fairly — effort is rewarded — and she's warm and friendly.
Emma Moughabghab was somewhat carefree teaching ENGL 203 online, but if a student got a low grade on the first assignment, that tended to lock in as their grade for all other assignments.
Emma Moughabghab is a fair grader for ENGL 203, but part of the grade depends on group work influenced by classmates.
Amany Al Sayed is an amazing, professional yet understanding ENGL 203 professor; grading is manageable if assignments are submitted on time, but attendance and following her assignment structure closely matter.
I will never understand how people don't like this prof. every single person that took 203 with her in fall 2020 loved her! she's so sweet, low workload, and an absolutely amazing grader!!! I ended up with an A+ and I definitely recommend her to anyone wanting to take engl 203
Lana is the sweetest professor and is always ready to help and guide you if needed. At the beginning of the semester the workload was really heavy, but as we got closer to writing the final paper, it was easier to manage. she is also a generous grader. i would recommend taking the course with her.
While taking the course, she will seem like she's strict, but she's one of the nicest professors ever. Workload is medium and english with her is more than enjoyable, she makes it easy, fun and gives high grades if she sees you putting effort and doing the work. My favorite english teacher, from 3 english courses I took already
She is nice and kind and her workload is medium to high, High grades are possible but not easy to get. You have to earn it, make her know you, participate and put in the effort. She's flexible with the curriculum as she doesn't always follow it . Not the easiest teacher to take a course with but also not the worse
He's such a good professor, explains well, doesn't ask for much work, and easy going a lot but he doesn't really push your grades. High 80's is the maximum he would give.
He is the best ! His classes are so funny and enjoyable , You can skip some of the classes ! and you can get easy 88 and above !
She's actually perfect, couldn't have asked for better, she's been super helpful and easy and fun to talk to. She and the rest of the mentors have helped me out with so many things I can't even count. My transition to AUB would've been a disaster.
She's very easy to deal with, pretty friendly, you'd have entertaining class discussions, but lots of work
If u want to work hard with a lot of assignments go for her ;) and one more thing is that while she is correcting the assignments she focus on each single letter not word! If there are other prof that u can take with it is better ! However she is cute !
Paul is amazing! No attendance, 2 reading responses (2-3 pages), and 1 final paper (10-15 pages)
AMAZING, he's so organized and if you follow what he wants you can get 90's in his class. You just need to understand what he expects from you
He's Canadian, heavy English, bearable workload but not very clear about the objectives. You could get good grades but you'll feel lost all the time.
pretty decent teacher, if you do the work you'll get in 80s for sure, put in that extra effort for 90 but mostly 80s in her class
she's a lenient grader with fun and interactive classes. She's very approachable too so you should consider her if her section time is adequate
I just don't get why everyone was talking negatively about her. To be honest, she is the best, the best grader when it comes to grading essays. She tells you to visit her office before submitting an essay, so that she will give you feedback prior to grading. In my opinion, she's one of the best English teachers at AUB.
Found her really nice and very understanding. Her classes were fun and she gave high grades too.
She's a very sweet teacher but she won't really give you more than an 85 if you work for it. Also, she does make you read stuff at home, it's not an intense workload..
Amany Al Sayyed is very peaceful and passionate. When it comes to grading, she values fairly. At best, you can score a 90 if you show interaction and determination
Just do what he asks and, while participating, demonstrate some interest. His courses are pleasant and I finished with a fairly high grade
Highly recommended. Her class is enjoyable, she gives 80's-90's but you should put some effort, minimal workload (two papers, some annotations, small presentation..). Always attend and try to participate because these are like 15%.
If you want to "learn" english, go for marwa mehio. A lot of knowledge, and great explanation. If you want grades, she's NOT the one you're looking for. She has heavy workload and relatively low grades. She is not fun in class, very monotine but explains well. She is helpful when it comes to office hours and she is sometimes understanding if you email her with a good excuse if you need to postpone an assignment. Overall, she is good if you're searching for soemone who will teach you english without good grades.
