Fundamentals of Power Systems Analysis

This course covers three-phase systems, generation modeling review and generation capability curve; transformers, autotransformers, three-winding transformers and regulating transformers. Calculation of transmission line parameters, evaluation of steady state operation of transmission lines, reactive power compensation, line capability, power flow analysis using Gauss-Seidel and Newton-Raphson methods, economic load dispatch, symmetrical fault analysis.
