Description
This course covers mobile networking topics with focus on wireless networking technologies and mobile computing applications. It addresses the following standards, mostly at the physical and MAC layers levels: Bluetooth, ZigBee, WiFi, GSM, UMTS and LTE. It also touches on technologies that are part of LTE-advanced set of technologies and covers Mobile IP. From the applications side, the course gives an overview of Web Services, virtualization and cloud computing. The course includes a project on mobile app development that involves communication among mobile devices.
