Introduction to Nursing Practice

This course introduces students to concepts and interventions basic to nursing practice. The course uses the nursing process as the organizing framework, and the concepts of health, nursing, client, and environment are integrated throughout. Performance of basic client care skills are emphasized, including the scientific rationale for both health promoting and health restoring nursing interventions.
