Writing for TV and Film

This course provides students with an advanced study into the art of investigating, structuring, and writing original screenplays. Students will research and develop authentic characters, as well as how to generate solid story plot devices using professional screenplay styles. Different film genres and story techniques will also be explored, in addition to the process of literary adaptation of plays, novels, or short stories and transforming them into a feature-length film. Prerequisite: AVF 310.
