Investigative Journalism

This course focuses on the different investigative reporting techniques in addition to the use of the scientific methods to connect events with accurate fact-checking, detection of secrets, and the use of public records. Students will examine various traditions of investigative reporting. They will be exposed to advanced course tools and hands-on experiences. They will also practice working as individuals or teams on writing their investigative projects. Prerequisite: JOU 210.
