Fatigue design and analysis, strain-life versus stress-life methods, mean stress accounting relationships, notch stress and strain analysis, dos and don’ts in design, residual stresses and their effects on fatigue strength, variable amplitude loading, multi axial fatigue. Prerequisite: CEN 203 or MEN 202.
