Human Factors for Interior Design

Description
This course investigates human factors as an essential ingredient in the design process. Physical and psychological human factors will be examined in an attempt to better understand the spatial relationship between humans and their environment. Topics include: proxemics, cognitive mapping, image ability, human senses, and ergonomics. Corequisite: IDP 222. IDP History of Modern Contemporary Interior Design (3.0); 3 cr. This course is an overview of the 20th century art, culture, interiors and furniture. Prerequisite: IDP 211.
