ARAB 213/214

Introductory Biblical Hebrew

The workload is not that heavy. What some students complain about is the fact that she gives a homework almost every session. I'd rather have a very easy 20-minute homework than have to read pages and pages of literature like in other humanity courses. Needless to say, practicing is an essential part of the process of learning a language. The professor is very friendly, perhaps a bit harsh in grading [due to certain requirements from the Arabic department but she's always open to negotiation even when assigning/grading a homework. High grades ARE indeed attainable if you practice well before the exam, there's nothing complicated about the material.

Heavy workload, you have homework after each session. If you study well you can get very high grades (90+) if you attend all the lectures
