This course focuses on the economic, social, and legal foundations of the nonprofit sector. The ways in which nonprofit organizations relate to the public and private sectors and the diversity and scope of the nonprofit sector are examined with primary focus on the functions performed by nonprofit organizations and on various patterns of community actions taken in different societies
