don't ever take this course online. the professor only has recordings and has office hours for questions and its hard to keep up . HUGE workload (3 quizzes and 3 papers) and the grades online were horrible. wouldn't recommend at all
I'm taking with her now philo201! participate in class, take good notes, memorize them and get a 90? w she doesn't give any homework wala reading..
Omar Talhouk ! He's really friendly and explains very well. The material isn't hard if you follow in class :
Quizzes, she gives you 2 choices : 1) she gives you a quote or a text from a philosopher and you have to explain it 2) she tells you to write a short essay about a particular subject. But either way it's very easy and the material is really simple
Fares chalabi is alright if you focus in class and understand very well the audio notes he records in class. I recommend him
Fares 3 quizzes and one optional paper and it s easy if you understand/ memorize exactly what he says. He gives you his book which is exactly what you need to know and he records his lectures and posts them online. he cares a lot about attendance. if you didn’t take PHIL 210 the material is more interesting
Fares is a great professor with usual grades > 80 . Great explanations and if you didn't understand, there's the Box where uploads all of his voices as records to there and become accessible to the students
Dr.chalabi is amazing. I took 201 and 210 with him last semester. All you need to do is listening to his voice recordings and understand them/memorize some stuff. If you have some friends taking the course with you, it would be very easy; you divide the recordings among each other and and that's it. 93 in the course is doable. Goodluck.
