Mechanical Design II

This is an advanced course in mechanical design. Students taking this course are expected to have a firm grasp in the fundamentals of failure theories. This course proposes methods for designing and selecting components such as gears, belts, clutches, brakes, flywheels and journal bearings. A design project using a finite element package is emphasized.
