I don't recommend ever to take a course with rana nassif, she's the worst in terms of EVERYTHING
2- Farouk’s an experience. You grow immeasurably in his lectures. He’s so well- informed and brings math to life in an almost magical way. His lectures are the most enjoyable ones I’ve attended in university. That being said, he likes to challenge his students, so if exams aren’t common, Farouk’s will be difficult. However, if exams are common, don’t miss out on the Farouk experience
Shaya is really good and super friendly, he explains well but you need to keep attending his classes to get a good grade. He gives important examples during the lectures that you may see on your exam paper. If you take it with Shaya, you will have to go to recitations that are given usually by Prof.Yamani to get a good grade. Recitations are super important with shaya
academically: average (unexperienced), she copies from her copybook, gives a good summary of the book's explanation though. However, she's so sweet and friendly, makes good connections with her students, and is so responsive (office hours - emails)
Mr Yamani gives great notes, but I did not understand the material deeper than the exercises; I ended up getting a high grade though which was awesome
I took 218 with Rana Nassif and she is okay, explains alot, a bit fast but repeats alot, and some people in class thought she needed to chill and calm down and some other stuff too... but i think she is not bad if u keep up with her and take notes each day and study them
Lina is just the best and amazing for 201, she is can be fast sometimes but definitely go for it, if you focus in class and understand her, you can get high grades
zadour is very good in explaining the course and one of the nicest teachers in AUB yet his exams are quite difficult
He does not give partial grades and very strict in terms of grading and has a special complicated method in doing the raise which is weird and unfair. since it is most probably gonna be common exam, you can register with other instructors and attend his class.
Best instructor. he really helps a lot and if he saw that you are putting effort into the course, he'll shift percentages just don't mention previouses or raise and attend his sessions because if you don't he might not answer your questions in his office hours
Great at explaining and was very helpful during office hours! Really made a difference to take it with him..
Amazing! I remember I used to attend his section even though I wasn't registered with him. Great at explaining and makes everything simple and easy to understand. You'll score high if you take it with him :)
Abi Khuzam without a doubt. The way he explains is detailed and straightforward. He offers a decent amount of examples in class and offers some mathematical intuition, which makes you fully understand the lesson without the need for proofs (although some r given sometimes).
They were both amazing and explain the subject thoroughly. If I had to choose the best among the two I’d have to say Shayya, but if you do end up taking with Abi Khuzam it is not a loss. Also I heard Tlas is good as well so really whichever one you choose, you’re in good hands
1- Shayya: this professor is brilliant. He breaks down initially “difficult” concepts into digestible chunks of information. Attend the lectures and practice regularly and you’ve practically secured a high grade
Farouk abi khuzam is awesome , he explains really well and makes you appreciate maths and its applications, his exams can be tricky and u need to prepare for it well to get a 90 bs he is amazing prof and he is accessible during his office hours w ktir friendly with those who show respect and keep attending his lects.
Tlas for the ''raise'' ...he basically gives some hard exams but at the end of the course u get a good raise. The last question in every quiz is super hard and he puts it to make sure no student gets above 90 ....That's what my friends used to say.
Shayyaa akin don't even think about it. You can get really really well ( 90+) with him if you listen in class and practice a lot. He's awesome. He explains extremely well, and mahdoum ktir.
