Prof. Bazzi is just the best of the best!
He explains really well, he's very organized, and ready to help. They say his exams are harder than others, but there is a raise and you'll benefit a lot, so it is worth it. Remember, this is a fundamental course!
It's a basic course you can learn on your own, but Bazzi is the teacher to go if you plan on focusing on software later on. His exams weren't easy, but he gives a raise at the end. His handwriting is horrible though.
it’s a very basic course and you can learn it on your own but a bad professor can make your life hard. Mr. Wassim was a bit strict with the grading
excellent knowledge + Fair grades (good grades if u work hard ) : Bazzi. Fair knowledge + good grades : Artail. Weak knowledge , excellent grade ( u forget all about c++ the next semester ) : Hajj
I took eece 231 with hazem. His workload was fair - there were regular assignments (i think 10 in total) and also short quizzes during the lab sessions. The grading for exams was pretty generous and there was always a raise on each indvidual exam. Exams weren't common and his weren't very difficult, as opposed to Bazzi's which were regarded as the most difficult. I remember our final exam being super easy and having an average in the 80s. I imagine that, being a more advanced course, 230 would have more difficult exams and possibly more workload but I believe his principles won't change. He's also really nice and I found that he explained very well in class and would be willing to stay behind if you ever had any questions. Overall he's a really good instructor and I would recommend him.
If you're even slightly interested in software go for bazzi. This is a fundamental course and you'll regret not taking it with a good instructor.
Ali Hajj is the easy way, if you don't care much about software. Bazzi will require you to put good effort into the course.
The best!! explains really well in class (goes step by step and assumes it’s your first time programming ever so he really makes it easy for you), easiest exams, and always willing to help no matter what. The workload is fair. Overall, i would super recommend him
He's good and usually lenient with grading, but if you're really interested in programming he should not be your first choice
I like Hazem Hajj as a person, sometimes he gets lost. But his slides are enough and exams are manageable
his exams arent hard, he gives usually 4 problems, 3 of which are easy ( and thats already an 75/100). If you do the homeworks and the previouses, this course should be enjoyable. Plus he usually gives a raise if that means anything to you.
I adored the class with bazzi. Honestly i can say nothing more than i enjoyed it. His class is one of the few ones where i felt that i had made intellectual progress, dare i say. He tries his best to push his students a step further in thinking and thats exactly how i like things to be. I highly recommend him if you're not after the grades but after getting some knowledge into your head and acquiring a certain way of thinking.
I took ece 230 with bazzi and i strongly dont recommend it he is a very nice prof but extremely tough so if u r nt an ece student why bother !! I say u try opening capacity with ali hajj or chehab if not leave it till next fall :)
