Political Economy of the Middle East

Description
Studies the major economies of the Middle East and the political administrative systems shaping these economies. The issues addressed include: the major economic centers in the Middle East, concentrations of wealth and poverty, redistributive justice, and the international factors shaping Middle Eastern politics and economics. Emphasis will be placed on theories dealing with the role of the state in shaping economic development and the difficulties faced when implementing policy decisions.
