Aesthetic Philosophy

This course investigates the fundamental nature or soul of art and aesthetic experience. Students explore and scrutinize the artistic theories and aesthetic principles that are presupposed in both Western and Eastern art. This course provides students with both a personal appreciation of aesthetics, as well as a basic ability to apply this appreciation to art criticism.
