Business Analytics Using Data Mining

Introduces applied data mining techniques including data processing and a set of data analytics tools related to predictive modeling such as classification and regression trees, logistic regression, artificial neural networks and other techniques. Students will learn how to use these tools to provide practical solutions to problems faced by businesses today. They will gain knowledge in how to improve decision-making by adopting a data analytics approach. The course is designed for advanced undergraduate students and features the use of data mining software. Case studies and practical examples will be extensively presented throughout the course.
