Marie Claire Middlemiss Sanazaro is a good professor for CHLA 209A for students who genuinely engage with the material, but the readings are not easy and she is strict on grades for anyone who doesn't show a high level of understanding. The class is not recommended for students who haven't taken other CHLA courses, aren't strong in social sciences or humanities, or are only sophomores, and her first semester teaching it at AUB had some class-management issues.
Marie Claire Middlemiss Sanazaro is a very good CHLA 209A professor for students who pay attention, study the material regularly and participate, but the material is not easy and she is not flexible with grades unless you show strong understanding. The course is graded through papers rather than exams, where good critical thinking earns 80s to 90s; it is not recommended for sophomores or students with no prior CHLA or social sciences/humanities background, and her first semester at AUB had shaky class management.
