ST: Ottomans, Mughals, and Safavids

This course explores the art, architecture, and urban culture of the Ottoman Turks, the Safavids of Iran and the Mughals of India, or the “gunpowder empires,” which dominated the Middle East and South Asia during the newly globalizing era of the early modern period.
