Description
This course examines a number of plays from across different artistic, cultural and linguistic traditions. The focus will be on reading and analyzing these plays for an appreciation of aesthetic innovations; modes of theatrical expression; and their place within particular social or cultural contexts. Course materials may include filmed versions of the plays for comparison.
